Watching trade coverage isn't my thing, but the NHL Network sim subbing 10 straight hours of TSN coverage peaks my interest.
February 27 is the trade deadline: coverage runs from 8 am to 6 pm Eastern.
Since most of the Canadian teams aren't doing well, the fear is that well-liked players will get dealt. Edmonton may rent out Ryan Smyth (he would likely come back again), and Montréal might feel the need to trade Hal Gill have already traded Hal Gill. While those trades would help the teams long-term (hopefully), seeing those players leave would be sad.
Then again, Vancouver and Ottawa could see who can help them in the playoffs. Toronto, Calgary, and Winnipeg might see what could get them in the playoffs, but those last three teams are literally on the bubble. Montréal and Edmonton have different tough choices being virtually out of it.
