Slight correction there Chad. Sportsnet typically gets the #2 game for the early slot. The exception is when SN is committed to airing something other than hockey (e.g. MLB postseason).

This has been the case since the 2nd season of the Rogers deal. In the first season, City received the #2 game.


Good point. That has been a trade-off for awhile: City TV used to get the #2 game, then Sportsnet took that back. That may be the pattern again once Sportsnet is done with the World Series. But I can't believe fans of the Canadiens and Jets are struggling to find their game whether it's on City or Sportsnet.
