Editor's note: Story updated to put the late Saturday game on City TV. Rogers seems confused why fans can't find the games. Rogers went from putting the game on City TV, then going out of their way to tell us the game isn't on City TV, to finally putting the game on City TV. Rogers, look in the mirror to find the problem.
CBC will focus on the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang. Since Gary Bettman picked greed over promoting the NHL around the world, Rogers and its properties will focus on the NHL on Saturday nights for the next 3 Saturdays.
Without NBCSN, the NHL Network can actually breathe and carry games on its own. The channel will carry the City TV feed as it welcomes P.K. Subban back in Montréal on Saturday night.
The NHL Network will show the Winnipeg Jets hosting the New York Rangers on Sunday afternoon and a pair of Toronto Maple Leafs home games Monday against Tampa Bay and Wednesday versus Columbus. The latter could be a Rogers Sportsnet national pickup.
City TV finishes with the Edmonton Oilers in the southern Bay Area in the Saturday nightcap.
Rogers Sportsnet starts out Hockey Night in Canada with the Battle of Ontario from the Air Canada Centre. Hometown Hockey goes to Canmore, AB with the nearby Calgary Flames traveling to Brooklyn. Wednesday Night Hockey is a doubleheader starting out with Columbus in Toronto to face the Maple Leafs early and Roberto Luongo's return to Vancouver in the nightcap.
Rogers Sportsnet One heads to a city where gambling is allowed as the Edmonton Oilers hit the desert on Thursday.
The NHL Network audience in Nashville will get the Battle of Ontario on Saturday night.

Senate finally passes gender-neutral O Canada bill
O Canada became gender neutral by royal assent Wednesday morning. The decision will affect the Olympics in PyeongChang as well as the NHL. The Globe and Mail noted earlier this week that NHL spokesman Gary Meagher said adjustments will be made once the new lyrics become official.
The U.S. audience won't get a taste of that on Saturday given that the game is in Montréal. The French portion isn't affected by the change. The Battle of Ontario on Rogers Sportsnet should have the new lyrics.

The pregame gave plenty time to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets. Fathers watching their sons' 1st goal was a pregame theme.
John Garrett and Jason York got some HNIC time in Winnipeg and Calgary, respectively.

Should be a lot of fun for the NHL Network to show more Canadian teams during the Olympics. Canadian teams will be on Wednesdays during the Olympics. That is a night where Canadian teams are rarely seen in the United States.
CanadianCrossing.com NHL coverage
