Losing weight is difficult enough. Losing weight on national TV has to be worse.
We got a peek into this world in the recent revelations from "The Biggest Loser." Longtime readers will remember how I used to watch that show in the beginning. I enjoyed the ride, thinking these people were sincerely losing weight using skills that could be duplicated at home.
Little did I know the truths of reality TV.
I remember Ryan from the first season. And am disappointed that he gained back the weight. But when you dehydrate yourself to the point where you are urinating blood, you aren't losing weight in the proper way.
Losing weight slowly and properly is better in the long run. It might not be cool enough to be on TV.
When your relatives at Thanksgiving suggest you go on one of those weight-loss shows, ask them if they want you to piss blood and likely gain back the weight anyway.
