Okay, so The Daily Show with Jon Stewart was rather late to covering the San Francisco's new regulations of Happy Meals.
Aasif Mandvi had a lot of fun with San Francisco Councilman Eric Mar. In fairness to Mandvi, Mar did a horrible job of explaining his point. True, editing has the last word, but Mar could have looked stronger on camera.
Mandvi offers an alternative: in the "Crappy Meal," there is the Periodic Table of Elements, CPR instructions, and an action figure of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. I confess that even as a kid, I would love to have had a condensed version of the periodic table.
The law hasn't actually taken place. And just to clarify, despite what some in the press have said, the law doesn't ban Happy Meals. There are nutritional guidelines for offering a toy with food.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart airs weeknights at 11 pm Eastern on Comedy Central.
