Depending on your travel plans and strategy, one Thanksgiving meal turns into a pre-Thanksgiving dinner, the big meal, leftovers for a few more meals, and continued stuffing (in more ways than one) until the alarm rings on Monday morning.
So we've accumulated a few pieces of advice over the years that can be helpful this Thanksgiving season.
The French don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but they do put together the extensive preparation Americans reserve on Thanksgiving Day, but with a lot less stress and a bit more wine.
The Thanksgiving meal is also filled with pressure to get things just so. We're only human, and Thanksgiving is supposed to be about appreciating what you have. The actual dinner is just one meal of a thousand throughout the year.
Thanksgiving is about tradition but can include variations on tradition. Have your cranberry sauce but save a few cranberries to snack on. Sure they're tart by themselves, but they are delicious and extremely healthy.
Most people are fortunate to have more than enough to eat. Thanksgiving is about making sure people can get enough to eat more than just once a year.
