We don't offer diet advice at BalanceofFood.com. People have to figure out their own individual path. We do know what hitting a plateau looks and feels like.
"We only have to stay inside for about 2 weeks." Well, 2 weeks is turning into 6 weeks and likely more, thanks to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. You've gone through the binge eating phase, crying jags, and more eating. The weather is getting nicer in the Northern Hemisphere.
Now what.
Fruits and vegetables are a great way to get energy and nutrition. The junk food phase was fun. Your body wants you to go back to healthy eating. Really.
Consider the last few weeks to be a plateau as if you were dieting. You hit emotional peaks thinking that normal would return soon. Normal will come back but not anytime soon.
A little bit of indulgence is still worthwhile. Stress eating. Make a treat a true treat. Somehow, turn vegetables into treats. We aren't saying this is easy.
You can't, you shouldn't keep going at this binge eating pace. None of us knows how long this will last.

Being trapped indoors gave us a "vacation" to indulge. Being trapped indoors should give us a "vacation" to treat ourselves better.
We might not eat too many vegetables on vacation but this isn't a vacation or a staycation. You did have fun. Great. Time to get back to "normal."
If nothing else, a steady diet of fruits and vegetables might help you if your goal is to lose weight.
Getting ready for swimsuit season might seem silly if you don't think we will have summer in 2020. Buying clothes is still possible online but you should hope to take in clothes instead of letting them out.
The binge eating concept is needing calories to deal with the stress of COVID-19. You earned it; you deserved it. Now comes the next step. You enjoyed your moment and you've hit a plateau. A steady diet of fruits and vegetables will help you get back on a good road. A balanced plate will have benefits. That should help with the ongoing stress as well.
