There is a report that tourism is down in the three major Canadian cities — Toronto, Montréal, and Vancouver.
Can't be my fault. I was in Vancouver in July. And I will be in Toronto in September.
For Americans, traveling is tough this summer. Gas is sky high, air fares only seem to get higher. And the cost of everything is up. And with the weak U.S. dollar, traveling beyond the borders is depressing.
Yet I still do it because I love Canada. And despite my "greeting" by Canadian customs in Vancouver, I still want to go.
But Canada has to understand; this is a difficult time for Americans to go to Canada or anywhere else. But I can tell the Americans: going there is still worth it.
