Many immigrants from Haiti living not only in Montreal are good reason for reconsidering the immigration policy of Canada. I think that the help to Haiti should be focused also on the legislation in the field of immigration. Situation in Haiti needs exception and at least Haitians who have relatives in Canada should be allowed to come here.

Right, today, the Haitians are arguably the most thoroughly integrated immigrant community in Montreal. They are in every field – medicine, accounting, business, academia, technology. The less educated immigrants are concentrated in the taxi business, where they thrive. They know the city by heart. And they're nice, smiling and polite. And Haiti is a nice place to visit and I wish the media pays more attention to Haiti in the news.
