Canada's history magazine has been known as "The Beaver" for 90 years. Yes, there were a few jokes over the years about the connotation of the beaver. However, the beaver is more symbolic to Canada than the other reference.
But the name finally shifted from "The Beaver" to Canada's History magazine due to issues with Internet filters.
Stephen Colbert weighed in on this transformation. His most-Canadian joke had the punchline of "moose antlers, a jug of maple syrup, and the Stanley Cup."
As you can tell from the video above, Colbert's take was pretty funny, though his suggestion at the end is a bit extreme. Though Colbert specializes in over the top.
