Empire Field looked like a great venue for the Lions last year. There appeared to be sellout crowds from online video. CFL games lose something being played in the Sky Dome or in BC Place when the seats out-number the fans. Here's hoping they fill the place for games after it opens!

One reason why BC got shut out was the NFL Network didn't carry late night games, and that hurts the chances of seeing Vancouver. Maybe an afternoon weekend game will end up on the NFL Network or even a tape-delayed game.

Hmm, retractable roofs give additional value to an infrastructure. But it is weird that the one to be used here can't be closed during rains or high-wind situations. What's the sense of installing this kind of roof? Nevertheless, this will make the stadium more convenient to the athletes and viewers.
