Canadians love their Tim Hortons and Tim Hortons has become a Canadian stereotype to Americans.
So when you combine How I Met Your Mother, donuts, Tim Hortons, and Jason Priestley, well, you get an Internet sensation.
"Crammed a Timbit into a strawberry vanilla, and invented the Priestley. Should have been the best day of my life."
Putting a donut into another donut sounds Canadian … and American. The indulgence felt almost North American (with apologies to Mexico and the Central American countries).
So what if the donut is only available at the Squamish, BC Tim Hortons. Americans can dream.
The topic of donuts in donuts fell well into last week's column of the Temptation of the Week segment on our sister blog, BalanceofFood.com.
