This is the second and final of the two bye weeks in the CFL. The NBC Sports Network will carry the Friday night Western battle, while leaving Toronto and Montréal for ESPN3.
The matchups are the best in each division. Saskatchewan and Calgary have the two best records in the league. This is the game that the casual football fan should watch.
Toronto is a game ahead of Montréal -- the difference being that the Argos are the only East team above .500. If Marc Trestman had left the Alouettes before Scott Milanovich jumped to Toronto, Montréal could be running the offense that made a tough B.C. team look bad with a backup quarterback in Zach Collaros.
Jim Popp, with Doug Berry running the offense, had a week after the firing of Dan Hawkins to prepare for the Argos; we'll see if that was enough time. A Montréal loss, even with a new coach, and you can almost book the East final for Rogers Centre.
