I agree with your thoughts of the Colbert Report. I miss it; and rarely tune in for the others. Interestingly, the independent Hamilton, Ont., station has been re-airing ABC's Nightline at 4:30 p.m. That station is mostly just all-day news with old movies elsewhere. Previously it ran mostly e-talk styled fluff before an ownership change.
If I'm ABC or an affiliate station, though, I'd be interested in how in its ratings compare to the usual afternoon fare.


At 4:30 pm, CHCH wouldn't be sim subbing the ABC feed. By running it out of its slot, the ratings would better reflect Canadian interest in Nightline.

I did notice the format change when I was watching TV in Windsor. Looks a lot better.
