Winnipeg has been the centre of the Canadian music universe this week as Manitoba's capital has been celebrating the Junos.
The week culminates in the big televised ceremony for the 43rd annual Junos Sunday night on CTV.
The televised ceremony will be hosted by the rapper Classified along with country star Johnny Reid and pop sensation Serena Ryder.
Some of the artists performing Sunday night include Arcade Fire, Robin Thicke, Tegan and Sara, Walk off the Earth, Ryder, The Sheepdogs, and Sarah McLachlan.
The U.S. band OneRepublic will make its Junos debut.
Chris Hadfield is not up for a Juno, but the world's favorite singing astronaut will present an award at the Junos. So will Winnipeg native and 2014 Olympic Gold Medal curling skip Jennifer Jones.
Most of the Junos are given out in a gala dinner that is actually tonight. The major awards are saved for the cameras Sunday night.
Closing the show will be an all-star band that includes The Sheepdogs, Matt Mays, Tim Hicks, and Travis Good of The Sadies as a tribute to Bachman-Turner Overdrive that will go into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Given Randy Bachman's Winnipeg roots, the timing is excellent.

The Junos air from the MTS Centre Sunday night at 9 pm on CTV with a rebroadcast at midnight.
