"Orphan Black" and Tatiana Maslany got some much-needed love at the 3rd annual Canadian Screen Awards Sunday night in Toronto. The drama, which airs on Space in Canada and BBC America in the United States, won 10 Canadian Screen Awards from 13 nominations.
Tatiana Maslany won Best Actress for her many, many roles on "Orphan Black."
"I'm so lucky to have this job, I feel so so lucky. … [To] all of the writers on our show and the cast and crew who are tireless and who fight for integrity and artistry at every level — thank you, thank you, I could not do this without you."
Jordan Gavaris also won Best Supporting Actor for "Orphan Black."
"Call Me Fitz" with Jason Priestley took best TV comedy series and won 2 awards overall.
Don McKellar won for best actor in a TV comedy for "Sensitive Skin." CTV's Lisa LaFlamme won the best TV news anchor award.
"Rookie Blue" — which airs on Global in Canada and ABC in the United States — won the Golden Screen Award for most successful TV series.
"Orphan Black" returns for Season 3 on April 18 on BBC America.
"Mommy" won 9 awards out of 13 nominations. The latest Xavier Dolan film took the major awards: Best Film and Best Director. The three major players in the film — Anne Dorval, Antoine Olivier Pilon, and Suzanne Clement — all won their acting categories. Mommy also won for Original Screenplay, Editing, Makeup, and Cinematography.
"Pompeii" won 5 awards, including achievement in art direction and visual effects. The film also won the Golden Screen Award for a Feature Film, for being the top-grossing theatrical release in Canada.
David Cronenberg's "Maps to the Stars" netted 2 awards: original score and the other major acting award: best supporting actor win for John Cusack.
Oscar winner Julianne Moore, nominated for "Maps to the Stars," was a presenter as well.

Andrea Martin hosted the 3rd annual Canadian Screen Awards. Martin took over for Martin Short, who hosted the first 2 awards shows. The ceremony aired on CBC television.
