Samantha Bee was left speechless except for tears as the tribute to her career at "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" played Thursday night. We knew this time was coming but our reaction mirrored her reaction.
Jon Stewart got a few light-hearted shots at Canada, but pointed out that Canada didn't know what it was missing. Very true.
The clips in the tribute were wonderful yet didn't capture the full force of what she brought to The Daily Show.

We planned more stirring tributes to Bee and her husband, Jason Jones, who contributed mightily to the program. Closer to the time when Stewart leaves, we'll have more stronger looks back at their TDS careers.
In the interim, here is the video tributes for Bee and Jones. They move on to TBS: Jones to a new sitcom the couple is producing and Bee to a show similar to The Daily Show.
The Daily Show should have devoted a whole show to what Bee and Jones provided. Let's be honest: a week wouldn't be enough.
