Thursday Night Football is a West Coast edition this week as Edmonton travels to Vancouver. The Friday Night Football game is an ever increasing rivalry between the Alouettes and the RedBlacks. Ottawa pulled off the upset in Week 1 between the two clubs. The rematch is in the nation's capital.
Both of those games are on ESPN2.
We have our first and only scheduled CFL game on ESPNews: the Sunday game as the Blue Bombers travel to Hamilton.
The Saturday game — computer only in the States — will be the 2015 CFL debut at Rogers Centre though it's Toronto's second home game. The Argos welcome winless Saskatchewan to Canada's largest city.
The Calgary Stampeders get the week off, giving Jon Cornish an extra week of rest.

Hugh O'Neill punted the ball for Hamilton. 2 Tiger-Cats players lined up behind O'Neill for the punt. Chris Cuthbert and Glen Suitor both spotted the players before the punt. Brandon Stewart, one of those players, fell on the punted ball, got up, and ran for a 27-yard touchdown off a punt recovery.
This play definitely was added into my ever increasing odd CFL plays database. The Argos were as befuddled as the U.S. fans watching the game.
This is why you have to love the CFL. The team that punted the ball scored a touchdown … on the same play.
The game ran quite long thanks to a 29-minute weather delay thanks to lightning in Hamilton. A reminder to let those DVR/PVR run long. The Tiger-Cats remain undefeated at Tim Hortons Stadium.

This past weekend brought us the BC Lions and the Toronto Argonauts, the final 2 teams that hadn't been on U.S. TV. We saw Hamilton's home opener on Monday. We haven't seen Regina or Toronto; then again, the Argos will finally get to see Toronto on Saturday.
For all the concern over Travis Lulay, the Lions haven't missed a step at QB. And while Trevor Harris came up short on Monday, he has played well this year filling in for Ricky Ray.

The Brandon Banks bio ran in the BC-Winnipeg game while the Zach Collaros bio was in the Toronto-Hamilton game. Don't remember a bio during the Saskatchewan-Edmonton contest.
---
Week 6 highlights: Winnipeg winning at home on the night of a blue moon. The Roughriders are in a rough spell. The Alouettes couldn't hang on late versus Calgary.
---
Week 5 highlights: Calgary loses a heartbreaker in Ottawa in OT but the worst loss was for BC, where the Lions had a 21-0 lead but lost to Toronto 30-27. When Winnipeg loses Drew Willy in a game, the Blue Bombers offense almost ceases to exist. And Saskatchewan lost again.
I can't vouch for this first-hand but Farhan Lalji apparently filled in for Rod Smith in the studio. Lalji would do a fine job in that role but also is a good sideline reporter.

Farhan indeed filled in for Rod for the one week. A little stiff in the role on the first night, but was pretty good overall. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to football as he is a high school football coach in New Westminster, B.C.

Thanks for filling in the gaps. That wasn't a U.S. TV game and by the time I found out about it, I wasn't going to be able to go back.
