We enjoy our travels to farmers markets in Canada, but a market is rare in that it can be a travel destination. Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver each sport a market of distinction.
Add Halifax to that list.
In 2009, the Halifax farmers market was a maze of several rooms in an older building in downtown Halifax. In 2010, an old airplane hanger was converted into a modern farmers market.
The building is beautiful on the outside and the inside layout proves versatile and intriguing. You get plenty of cool options to sit and enjoy your purchases onsite.
Halifax's site is conveniently located and serves well a climate of ideal summer weather and less than ideal winter weather.
