The 2017 World Juniors are on Canadian soil with action at the Bell Centre in Montréal and Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the same arenas that hosted the 2015 World Juniors.
Canada has new opening round opponents, other than the United States. Team Canada takes on Russia today on Boxing Day. Slovakia and Latvia are also on the schedule with New Year's Eve reserved for the United States. The Canadian opening round games will all be in Toronto.
Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro will call the tournament for TSN with a simulcast on the NHL Network in the United States. The NHL Network provides its own feed for Canada versus the United States.
While having the tournament on Canadian soil is cool, the NHL Network blows off NHL telecasts.
Canada has times set for its quarterfinal and semifinal matches, should the team get that far. The quarterfinal would be January 2 at 8 pm and semifinal January 4 at 7:30 pm. January 5 is championship day with the bronze game at 3:30 pm and the championship game for gold at 8 pm.
