Americans have been interested in watching Canadian sketch comedy. Even Americans who don't know much about Canada know Kids in the Hall and SCTV.
More Americans are about to get a chance to see the latest Canadian hit sketch program as IFC will run Seasons 1 and 2 of the Baroness von Sketch Show. Season 2 is currently running on CBC.
Americans who have CBC access have been able to watch Carolyn Taylor, Meredith MacNeill, Aurora Browne, and Jennifer Whalen since the show debuted in the summer of 2016.

I've seen a few sketches online and have been quite impressed. The IFC vibe might help draw an audience to their comedy style as opposed to the awkward relationship between Schitt's Creek and Pop TV.
U.S. censorship of '18 to Life' shows language contrast with Canada
The hope is that IFC will not censor any language or any other element. We've seen too many instances of Canadian programming airing in the United States with censorship standards much stricter than over-the-air CBC in Canada. As an example, Pop TV censors words that American cable viewers are used to hearing.
The New York Times story last week pointed out the lone IFC note was about changing a reference to a Caesar to the more American-friendly Bloody Mary. Americans should learn what a Caesar is and the difference between the two drinks.
If you've seen the program and want to weigh in, feel free to do so in the comments section. Please don't give spoilers since most of our audience hasn't seen the show.
IFC will start running episodes tonight at 10 pm Eastern.
