The latest adaptation of Anne of Green Gables led the way with 13 nominations for the 2018 Canadian Screen Awards from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Cardinal and Kim's Convenience followed close behind with 12 nominations. Alias Grace and Schitt's Creek each have 11 nominations.
Comedy has really taken off in the last few years in Canada. Letterkenny, Workin' Moms, and Kim's Convenience have made instant impacts. Figure that Schitt's Creek is not up for best comedy. Michael: Every Day, a show that was brought back but ultimately cancelled again, is up for best comedy.
