ESPN2 returns after a week off with Friday Night Football as the Toronto Argonauts visit Jeremiah Franklin's old digs in Edmonton as the Esks seek revenge.
The week starts with the revenge game with the Calgary Stampeders in the nation's capital against the RedBlacks. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers travel to the West Coast against the revenge-seeking Lions in Vancouver.
This is the first week with 3 bye teams so Hamilton, Montréal, Saskatchewan will get simultaneous rest.

Sean Whyte pulled off a successful onside kick for Edmonton (above). The field goal attempt turned into the onside kick as 2 Edmonton players were onside. One of them touched the ball last to allow the Esks to retain possession. The CFL doesn't require possession, just the last touch before the ball goes out of bounds.

Matt Nichols is back in Winnipeg. Jeremiah Franklin is succeeding in Toronto. Each quarterback had the first start of the season and proved themselves worthy.
CanadianCrossing.com CFL coverage
After this week, BC-Winnipeg will be done for the season. Intra-division matchups of Calgary-Ottawa; Toronto-Edmonton will also be done. We have had only 1 East inter-division game.
Saskatchewan-Hamilton will be done next week. The Roughriders still haven't played a division game yet.
The CFL schedule feels a bit quirkier this season. More division games toward the end will make those races more intriguing.

Rod Smith didn't call any games this past week. The regular teams each had 2 games.
