ESPN2 awakens from its CFL hibernation to carry the Sunday afternoon contest as Saskatchewan visits Montréal. All Alouettes home games in the autumn fall on a Sunday afternoon.
Friday Night Football starts out with the Argos going west to Calgary.
The Saturday doubleheader begins at Tim Hortons Field with a late Saturday afternoon game featuring the BC Lions in the revenge game from last week. The eastern prime time features a pair of western teams with the Blue Bombers traveling to Edmonton. There is no dinner break this week.
Ottawa gets in a good rest.

The finish in Vancouver was in the middle of the night for those in Newfoundland but was worth going back and watching the next morning. The BC Lions comeback just to get to overtime was incredible even by CFL comeback standards.
Chris Cuthbert and Matt Dunigan were stunned when Hamilton coach June Jones had Lirim Hajrullahu punt for a single rather than kick a 45-yard field goal in a domed stadium. The single did put the Tiger-Cats up by 8. The Lions stormed back with a dynamic TD catch with no time left and a nail-biter of a 2-point conversion, requiring the command centre to decide whether the game would go on.
Jonathon Jennings had an outstanding game and got a rare starting win for the QB. We finally had the first OT game in this CFL season.
Ottawa was thrilled to put the hold on Edmonton at home and stay up late to see the Tiger-Cats lose in Vancouver. Meanwhile, Winnipeg was probably wondering why June Jones didn't go for the win for Hamilton.

The weather in the nation's capital was surprisingly calm after 2 major tornadoes in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. The CFL hasn't had any postponements mostly due to timing: the game in Ottawa as well as the one earlier in Edmonton that almost got postponed with smoke from British Columbia wildfires.
Lewis Ward now has 37 straight field goals for the RedBlacks, including 2 games of kicking 7 field goals.

Didn't take long for Andrew Harris (Winnipeg) and William Powell (Ottawa) to cross the 1,000 yard mark in their games.

Antonio Pipkin made every element of the Alouettes better. Johnny Manziel doesn't seem to be able to do that. Manziel in small doses can weave some magic. Montréal needs wins more than magic.

When DeVier Posey signed with the BC Lions, the burning question was "why go to a team that doesn't have a chance." Now the Lions have acquired running back Tyrell Sutton from Montréal. BC is in the 4th slot in the West, the crossover slot. The crossover team needs to be a road dominator; the Lions are 1-5 on the road. That has to change, but Lions fans are encouraged.

Brett Lauther and Zach Medeiros had a kicking battle late in the Saskatchewan game in Toronto. Lauther hit a 56-yard field goal late for the Roughriders. Medeiros missed 2 FGs down the stretch. The Argos had a great comeback at home but couldn't pull the trigger when needed.
In 1994@ @glensuitor made his debut as a CFL analyst on TSN with yours truly as his partner. It’s been a while since we worked together, but we’ll be doing the Sask/Tor live mic game together at 7pm et on TSN. pic.twitter.com/uJ3ZwgNJ0y

Gord Miller has worked 2 CFL games this year, neither of them with Matt Dunigan. Cuthbert and Dunigan were out west in Vancouver on the Saturday tripleheader.
