Matt Galloway is firmly in control of The Current on CBC Radio One. Laura Lynch produced some great radio as the interim host of The Current. All of this since we've heard from The Current original host Anna Maria Tremonti.
Tremonti went off to create a pair of podcasts. She teased the one-on-one interview series in November at the Hot Docs Podcast Festival. Now More with Anna Maria Tremonti has launched. The debut episode matching celebrity with theme is Catherine O'Hara (SCTV, Schitt's Creek) and the power of collaboration.
Matching a person with a meaningful topic is a clever way to cut through celebrity clutter.

You get to learn some things about O'Hara in the opening episode that you likely did not know. You learn a tiny bit more about Tremonti, who is not used to sharing.
The opening list is rather impressive, filled with significant Canadians who make contributions to the dialogue of the world.
We look forward to hearing how the conversation goes with these people and on these topics.
The original announcement had Tremonti also producing a podcast along the lines of a serialized story but with other voices. We don't know the status of that podcast.
