Coroner is coming to the CW this fall. There was 18 to Life that was on the CBC and ended up on the CW. Now we have Fridge Wars airing on the CW in the United States.
Fridge Wars reminded me of a cooking show where chefs came into real people's homes and made dishes based on what was in their refrigerator. The premise has been modified where the family's fridge content has been replicated and the chefs compete in a studio. The family judges the food.
Emma Hunter, whom you might recognise from The Beaverton, Mr. D, and her stint as one of the last hosts of the Canadian Screen Awards, is the host. Hunter like she is having fun on the show, though she might be the only one enjoying herself.
We are normally not fans of reality TV shows, especially ones with the word wars in the title, but this one might be some fun. Our love for food, with our sister blog, BalanceofFood.com, and the Canadian elements of the show might prove intriguing.

The CBC ran 6 episodes earlier this year in a pre-pandemic world. Hopefully, the CW will run all 6 episodes. We still can't believe the network bailed so quickly on 18 to Life.
The U.S. debut of Fridge Wars airs Sunday at 8 pm Eastern on the CW. Canadians can stream Season 1 on CBC Gem.
