Not sure how Jonny Harris and Still Standing managed to shoot Season 6 this summer during a pandemic. The opening episode will focus on Pelee Island, ON.
The CBC television fall lineup is missing the heavyweights but those shows are filming new episodes. Those heavyweights include Murdoch Mysteries, Frankie Drake Mysteries, and Heartland.
One pleasant surprise is a TV version of Because News, the weekly CBC Radio panel series hosted by Gavin Crawford. CBC will run 6 episodes in the 7 pm Sunday slot starting October 18.

Orangeville Prep has been delayed and is no longer on the fall lineup. Landscape Artist of the Year Canada will split the late slot on Friday nights with The Nature of Things.
Canadian films will pinch hit on Saturday nights at 9 pm and 11 pm for Hockey Night in Canada. We know this time of the year is the Pavlov's dog response to Saturday nights for hockey. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has thrown us off a lot. We will keep track of those films as autumn progresses.
CBC will run Short Film Face Off in the early timeslot at 7 pm until Halloween when Absolutely Canadian takes over. Hockey Night in Canada will return when the NHL returns.

Trickster got the Alias Grace treatment at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. TIFF showed the first 2 episodes of the show. Michelle Latimer co-created Trickster and also had Inconvenient Indian at 2020 TIFF. That film won the Documentary Award and Best Canadian Feature Film.
We previewed the new CBC shows back in June.
Transplant makes U.S. debut on NBC
We mentioned Lady Dicks in the CBC upfront news. The odd detective combo features Meredith MacNeill (Baroness von Sketch Show) and Adrienne C. Moore (Orange Is The New Black). We have additional casting featuring Karen Robinson (Schitt's Creek, Frankie Drake Mysteries), Tara Strong (Teen Titans), Dean McDermott (Slasher), Al Mukadam (Miss Sloane), Percy Hynes White (The Gifted), Katie Douglas (Mary Kills People, Level 16), and Ronnie Rowe (Black Cop).
NBCUniversal is also involved so this will be another Canadian TV show on U.S. television, including Coroner and Transplant.
