We are at the height of the Christmas season. CBC is running a lot of Christmas related programming, including Canadian films on Saturday nights.
Canadian films continue to run on CBC on Saturday nights instead of Hockey Night in Canada.
As we noted earlier, CBC will run Canadian film doubleheaders at 9 pm and 11 pm local time (add 30 minutes in most of Newfoundland) until the NHL season starts up again.
December 19
8p The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017)
December 26
7p Window Wonderland (2013)
9p Across the Line (2015)
The Man Who Invented Christmas will seem familiar since CBC aired this movie on November 21. The film, an Ireland-Canada co-production, looks at how Charles Dickens created A Christmas Carol. Susan Coyne, co-creator of Slings & Arrows, wrote the script and Christopher Plummer plays Ebenezer Scrooge.
There is no December 19 doubleheader. Episodes of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival run after the film.

The Boxing Day doubleheader features Canadian films that have already run in the series. Like The Man Who Invented Christmas, Window Wonderland also ran November 21. Across the Line ran on April 4 as part of a Stephan James double feature. James stars with his real life brother, Shamier Anderson.
We reviewed the film last year.
