Schitt's Creek — in its final Canadian Screen Awards — goes out with 21 nominations in the 2021 Canadian Screen Awards. A couple of Canadian shows also in its last awards season each have 15 nominations: Cardinal (CTV) and Trickster (CBC).
We didn't make this mistake: there are only 4 nominees in the Best Lead Actor, Comedy. It can only be an honour to be nominated if you are nominated. Jason Priestley (Private Eyes) was nominated in that category last year along with the current nominees.
Every TV show, comedy and drama, with a show or acting nominations is available in some form in the United States. Coroner, Burden of Truth, Transplant, Trickster, and Diggstown (soon on Fox) have over-the-air TV deals.

Christopher Plummer is nominated posthumously for Departure.
Colin Mochrie managed to be nominated in best guest performance in comedy AND drama. Patrick McKenna won 2 Gemini awards in 1998 for drama (Traders) and comedy (The Red Green Show) in the same year, the only Canadian actor to pull off that feat.
