We normally put very little stock into NBA preseason. This preseason is different because the Toronto Raptors are the last NBA team to play a true home game in the 2020s.
Monday's game will not count in the standings. Toronto Raptors fans can finally watch their team at Scotiabank Arena. Every major Toronto team has had a chance to play at home, except the Raptors.
In the before time, Toronto spread out the preseason love to other Canadian cities. Toronto needs to show its NBA love in 2021.
Toronto played 4 exhibition games in the fall of 2019 in 3 countries (Japan, Canada, United States). The Raptors will have to settle for regional trips into the U.S. in Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington. Too bad the Raptors don't get an extra home game, given their lack of a true home last season.
