We were excited about a relatively normal MLB spring training for the Toronto Blue Jays, such as 2019. The 2020 version was truncated (COVID-19). The 2021 version had a lot of opponent feeds on Rogers Sportsnet and regular season home games in Dunedin.
The 2022 schedule has been modified in theory that the games from Saturday through March 4 are postponed. We don't know if there will be a spring training schedule or a 2022 regular season.
Even if we had a traditional spring training, the games in Montréal were left off the schedule. The Blue Jays had played their final spring training games in Montréal through 2019. The team was scheduled to play the New York Yankees in late March 2020.

While the American League has the designated hitter, we are in favor of the National League having the right, since the beginning of the game in the 1800s, to have the pitchers also hit. We aren't in favour of expanding the MLB playoffs yet that might be the only way the Toronto Blue Jays can make the playoffs.
The 2021 season was exhilarating and also exhausting. So much went so well for the Toronto Blue Jays yet no playoffs. Even if players improve, the magic of 2021 would have been difficult to duplicate.
We were/are looking forward to an entire MLB season in Toronto, also like 2019.

When (if) the MLB and MLBPA figure out their s--t, we'll be back with more of the Toronto Blue Jays 2022 situation and plans.
The league said on Wednesday that regular-season games will disappear from the schedule if the sides can't reach an agreement by Monday.
Seriously, many people lost their jobs and livelihoods as a result of the pandemic. They weren't making nearly as much at those jobs than baseball players.

The regular season opener (theoretically) is March 31 in Baltimore with the home opener with Tampa Bay on April 4. Don't hold your breath.
Toronto Blue Jays fans have a lot to be excited about despite losing some key people in the offseason. They deserve a chance to support their team at Rogers Centre in 2022.
