The Edmonton Oilers got a pair of power play goals in both Game 5 and Game 6 to help give the team the Western Conference (aka Campbell Conference) title with a 4-2 series win over the Dallas Stars.
Edmonton won the final 3 games of the series.
The Oilers will play the Florida Panthers for the Stanley Cup. That series starts on Saturday in the Sunshine state.
Edmonton went 0-2 against Florida in the regular season.

Edmonton is 2-1 in overtime games in the NHL playoffs this spring. The Oilers lost to Los Angeles (Game 2), beat Vancouver (Game 2), and won in double OT (Dallas).
The Oilers only had 10 shots in Game 6, the all-time record low for a winning team in a conference finals clincher.
Mattias Janmark got the only shorthand goal for the Oilers in Game 4 as Edmonton erased a 2-0 deficit. The comeback shifted the momentum to Oil Country.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored 2 straight goals to start Game 5, both on the power play. two goals.
Zach Hyman scored his playoff-leading 14th goal. Evan Bouchard had a pair of assists and now has 20 assists for the Oilers.
Connor McDavid now has 26 assists, tying him with Wayne Gretzky (1983) for most assists in a playoff year by Edmonton. McDavid trails Gretzky with 31 (1988), 30 (1985), and 29 (1987).
Leon Draisaitl may not be as loud with his play but still has 10 goals and 18 assists.
Stuart Skinner has been rock solid since gaining the starting position once again. Skinner is now 4-0 in series clinching games.
The Oilers went 14-for-14 on the penalty kill against Dallas, 28-for-28 in the playoffs over the last 10 games.

Chris Tanev was a thorn in the side of the Oilers for Dallas. Matthew Tkachuk will likely be a thorn in the side of the Oilers in the Stanley Cup final. They know a lot about Edmonton having played them while with the Calgary Flames as part of the Battle of Alberta.

As Leah Hextall (ESPN) had to explain the Winnipeg Whiteout to the U.S. audience, Jackie Redmond (TNT) explained the Edmonton Moss Pit to the U.S. audience.
TNT is done with NHL coverage for the season. Sean McDonough, Ray Ferraro, and Emily Kaplan will have the ABC coverage, also available on ESPN+.
Chris Cuthbert and Craig Simpson will work with Kyle Bukauskas on CBC and Rogers Sportsnet.
The Edmonton Oilers went 2-0 in the last round when not on CBC. The public broadcaster carried the Canadian Screen Awards (Friday) and original unscripted programming (Sunday). CBC will have all 7 (potential) games.
Edmonton is 1-0 on ABC after defeating Dallas 4-3 (OT) in Texas on February 17.

Scott Arniel was a head coach in Columbus and mostly recently, an assistant coach in Winnipeg. Arniel seems like a good pick to be the new head coach of the Winnipeg Jets. Arniel has a good background with the Jets and Manitoba Moose in his career.

The Edmonton Oilers have the second shortest drought of those Canadian NHL teams that have won the Stanley Cup at 34 years. The Montréal Canadiens were the last Canadian team to reach the Stanley Cup final in 2021 and has the shortest drought at 31 years.
