Upcoming Canadian film coverage for September 2024

Welcome to September!! Hope you are enjoying the long weekend for Labour Day (Labor Day for our U.S. friends and readers).

We got the Academy Awards announcement with Telefilm Canada selecting Universal Language | Une langue universelle as Canada's entry into the Best International Feature Film for the Oscars.

While we don't have official confirmation about TIFF Rising Stars, we gather the festival people skipped that for TIFF24. We will have more about that in our 2024 TIFF preview on Thursday.
