The Canadian Screen Awards gave lots of Canadian TV love to Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent with 20 nominations. 3 shows that are one-and-done or going away got 12 nominations each: drama miniseries Bones of Crows as well as a pair of comedy series, Children Ruin Everything and Run the Burbs.
The Canadian TV landscape has changed dramatically since, well, the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards. Sort Of, Little Bird, Workin' Moms, Run The Burbs, Pretty Hard Cases, Transplant and even Shelved got nominations last year and are gone from television. Run the Burbs was the only one of these shows to get major nominations.
Of the 5 Best Comedy Series nominations last year, Son of a Critch is still on TV, yet only got 1 acting nomination.
One More Time was one-and-done yet has quite a few nominations. Children Ruin Everything is still on the air but going off after this year.

The Canadian Screen Awards apparently is not having a Best Ensemble Performance, Drama category this year.
Supinder Wraich went from a supporting award nomination in comedy (Sort Of) to a best award nomination for drama (Allegiance).
You could build a legendary Canadian lineup in guest performance, drama with names such as Vanasse, Brugel, Keleghan, Feore, and Eastwood. Would watch a film with them in a heartbeat.
