Having covered Canada for a very long time, I still feel a little odd writing about Canadian "patriotism." This is definitely not American-style patriotism but more than we've ever seen from Canadians.
The federal election is today. Hopefully, you have voted already but also likely you haven't voted yet. There is still time.
There shouldn't be too many names on your ballot. The exceptions are the Carlton (Ottawa-Pierre Poilievre) and University-Roseland (Toronto-Chrystia Freeland) ridings. You can bring notes into the voting booth.
If you are in line as the polls close Monday night, stay in line and you will still be able to vote.

From this American about Canada, the most "patriotic" thing to do is vote. This seems so simple yet turnout isn't that great in Canadian elections, unless you are in Prince Edward Island. The 2015 federal election turnout was good but not great. Canada needs a great voter turnout in 2025.
Canada, we bloody love your low-effort genius. Very, er, English, if I may say so. pic.twitter.com/IZLhoHGChY

Discovered a fun option for Americans to watch the coverage. You can access CBC News through a "fire stick" type option. Watched the English language debate that way. You can pull up the coverage online as well. Canadians can use CBC Gem. CTV News Channel and CPAC.ca are other good choices. Global if you know someone who works at Global.
The big wave of votes won't come in until 9:30 pm Eastern/6:30 pm Pacific/11 pm in most of Newfoundland.
No Canadian NHL teams are playing today so you don't have that excuse. Go out and vote if you are a Canadian citizen.
